Choucas

The product

A day in property management, from brief to READY.

Four things hold an operation together: what you were asked for, what was done, who checked it, and what you show the owner. Choucas does only that.

Operations manager’s screen, Saturday 3 October: 6 arrivals, 2 departures, 1 property ready out of 6, then two blockers, three jobs to check and the next arrivals. — Open the Choucas demo in a new tab

The brief

A brief never arrives in order.

  • A voice note, an email, a text: one instruction per property.
  • Two requests that clash are flagged, not passed on.
  • A regular guest arrives with what you already know about them.
“Validate the brief” screen for Chalet Balme: 21 of 23 lines ready, and one conflict to decide — “Sheets changed every day” clashes with “Nobody goes into the parents’ bedroom” — with two suggested solutions. — Open the Choucas demo in a new tab

The field job

One job at a time, in large type.

  • What needs doing, the key safe code, the photos expected.
  • The rest of the file is there if you look — not in your hands.
  • No signal, and the day carries on.

The independent check

Nobody signs off their own work.

  • Whoever did the job can’t sign it off: Choucas won’t allow it.
  • Proof with two signatures, time-stamped, with both names.
  • A guest disputes the state of the place? You have proof, not a message thread.
Check screen for the “Departure clean” job at Chalet L’Aiguille, closed by Sofia R. at 11:30: 26 of 26 tasks, 3 photos, what was done, then the “Mark as checked” button and the two checks remaining. — Open the Choucas demo in a new tab

Done doesn’t mean READY

READY is a signed-off status, not a ticked box.

  • A finished clean isn’t a chalet ready to hand over.
  • In between: a check, and sometimes a redo.
  • The morning board only counts checked properties as ready.
Morning board, Saturday 3 October: 6 arrivals, 2 departures, 1 property ready out of 6; two blockers, then the jobs to check — Chalet L’Aiguille, 26 of 26 tasks, circled: finished, but not ready yet. — Open the Choucas demo in a new tab
The day’s verdict

Nobody signs off their own work.

The person who did the job declares it done. Someone else checks it. The property moves to READY.

When the unexpected happens

The ground-floor toilets are blocked. The guests arrive in three hours.

  1. ReportedFrom the job: the property, the severity, a photo.
  2. The property firstThe appliance, what’s been repaired, your procedure.
  3. Raised to the managerThe exception and its context, not everything that was said.
  4. Tradesperson notifiedThe message is prepared; a person reviews it and sends it.
  5. Back to the checkA plumber’s visit doesn’t make the chalet READY.
Urgent alert at Chalet La Tournette: ground-floor toilets blocked, reported by Marie L. at 12:00, guests arriving in 4h 30m; the escalation, then the suggested actions — call Marie back, call an on-call tradesperson, call the owner. — Open the Choucas demo in a new tab

What Choucas doesn’t do

  • We don’t replace your PMS.

  • We don’t measure people.

  • We don’t store health data.

  • We don’t send anything automatically.

  • We don’t assume there’s signal.

We set Choucas up on a real day at your place.

The week after the day on site is the trial, and it’s free.
